Certification · from intent to evidence

Not six boxes. A controlled chain of trust.

Every step has an owner, an evidence trail and a defined output. The process is designed so the person helping an applicant can never quietly become the person awarding it.

Mandatory gates cannot be compensated
Audit and decision are separated
Athlete evidence stays restricted
  1. 01

    Improve

    Private self-assessment

Explore the five pillars and see indicative gaps without making a formal application.

    Output

Private result and improvement starting point

No eligibility, pass/fail or certification verdict.
  2. 02

    Enter

    Scope and eligibility

Define the exact legal entity, sites and programmes to be covered. MindsMelt checks legal existence, authority to apply, safeguarding ownership and automatic exclusions.

    Output

Eligible, due diligence, temporary deferral or ineligible—with reasons and appeal route

A badge never silently covers a parent body, affiliate or excluded programme.
  3. 03

    Disclose

    Integrity and negative-impact disclosure

The organisation confidentially discloses relevant sanctions, investigations, serious incidents, litigation and prior label actions. A structured public-record check tests the account.

    Output

Recorded materiality decision and any conditions

Disclosure is unscored: serious impact is never converted into points.
  4. 04

    Evidence

    Formal assessment and dossier

Routed questions adapt to organisation type, size, minors, residential activity and clinical provision. Evidence is attached to the applicable indicators at the target level.

    Output

    Version-pinned, submission-ready dossier

The 120-question target is a bank; a typical sitting is designed for roughly 70–85 routed questions.
  5. 05

    Review

    Independent assignment and conflict check

Reviewers declare competence and conflicts before access. Applicant-support, audit and award-decision roles remain separate.

    Output

Recorded assignment, recusal trail and audit plan

The founder does not decide awards.
  6. 06

    Verify

    Evidence review and audit

The reviewer traces claims into current, attributable implementation evidence. Gold and Diamond add confidential adult-athlete interviews; Diamond includes an on-site stage.

    Output

Verified indicator outcomes and audit record

Raw athlete responses are restricted and never shown to the organisation.
  7. 07

    Correct

    Findings and corrective action

Observations, minor, major and critical findings are treated differently. Correctable gaps require root cause, owner, due date and implementation evidence before independent closure.

    Output

Closed findings or an explicit unresolved blocker

A new policy alone cannot close a failure of practice.
  8. 08

    Decide

    Independent decision

A decision-maker or panel rechecks mandatory gates, pillar floors, score, findings, scope and disclosure conditions. The applicant may receive the target level, a lower level with consent, deferral or refusal.

    Output

Reasoned decision and 30-day appeal route

Auditors recommend evidence outcomes; they do not award their own work.
  9. 09

    Publish

    Award, licence and public profile

After mark-use terms are accepted, an award creates a scoped certificate, non-guessable verification number, QR and public register profile.

    Output

    Public, time-limited and verifiable status

Gold and Diamond show pillar bands, not numeric league-table scores.
  10. 10

    Maintain

    Surveillance, complaints and renewal

Annual declarations, evidence checks, material-change duties and public complaints keep the award alive. Serious risk can trigger targeted review, suspension or revocation.

    Output

Current status and complete certificate history

Renewal uses the framework version current at renewal time.

What if a problem is found?

Minor and major findings can enter controlled corrective action. A critical safety or integrity failure ends the current application; it cannot be patched over inside the same decision cycle.

What stays confidential?

Raw athlete interviews, open minor findings, corrective-action detail and audit evidence are not public. The organisation never receives identifiable athlete responses. Public transparency is precise, not indiscriminate.

Verify the claim

An award is only trustworthy while its status can be checked.

The public register is designed to show exact scope, exclusions, framework version, assurance route, dates, status and certificate history—including suspension or revocation.
